This hospital’s history dates back to 1947, when it was opened at the time that the university’s founder, the late Dr. Kamon Akashi, established the St. Marianna Association for medical education and social welfare purposes. The Digestive Disease Center, Heart Disease Center, and Stroke Center were founded when it reopened in 2008 after undergoing refurbishment. The hospital carries out specialist testing, treatment, and surgery, with a primary focus on digestive cancers, heart disease, Gynecological diseases, Lifestyle-related disease center, and stroke.
